Glycolic Acid
Glycolic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugarcane and is known for having the smallest molecular size among AHAs. This allows it to penetrate the skin deeply, making it especially effective for exfoliation and promoting skin renewal.
Commonly used in dermatology, it’s found in chemical peels, cleansers, and serums. It works by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells, helping them shed more easily and revealing fresher, brighter skin beneath.
