1064 & how it helps to Rejuvenate the Eye

The most common questions I get asked during consultations is, How can I look less tired? Or, How do I get rid of the blue under my eye? And my favourite is, can I get rid of the blue vessels around my eyes? The answer is Yes!
Commonly mistaken for pigmentation, dark circles or overall tired eyes a common skin concern I come across is blood vessels under and around the eye area. The skin under your eyes is the most delicate area on the body. Since the skin is thin and highly prone to damage, it is often the first area to develop visible veins as you age. These unsightly blue lines that appear near or under the eye are called periorbital veins. For some patients, periorbital veins can give the appearance of dark circles under the eyes, making you look worn or more tired than you feel.
So how do we treat them?
Nd:YAG laser has a wavelength of 1064nm and works by emitting high energy light into the skin, this means it has the capability of reaching more deeper layers of the skin then other lasers. The laser's light heats up the haemoglobin inside the blood vessels, causing them to close permanently and leaving the eye area brighter and smoother.
